There is no such thing as an unbiased bystander - everyone has an opinion, therefor everyone is biased in some way. As for "the rest of you" judging whether we won or not - we don't care how people judge us, the proof is who is left standing and holding the football at the end of the match.
That will be us.
Fine. 'Unbiased' as in 'uninvolved'. You make an interesting point though - that you do not care how we judge you.
Which is fairly interesting, because then you may aswell not be posting here atall. At the end of the day, you care. If indeed you didnt give a toss what the rest of us thinks, then these posts and threads merely serve a demoralising objective. And tbh, its rather obvious that they dont.
There is a fine difference between not careing what someone thinks and letting someone spout lies and accusations unchallenged.
DbP knows as well as anyone else posting here that the majority of all readers have already made up their mind when they open a thread. The majority labels each "hostile" post Propaganda, lies, bollox and whatever else you may call it but every post of the "good guys" or allies as the truth.
See the snips taken from the Ascn command mail. IF an alliance sinks low enough to lie to its members about Gm's taking sides, Exploit accusations and other dubious things to make up for ingame losses it starts to become funny.
Those things are on a different level and they influence another area of the game. If 4000 ppl believe only exploiters can win or that the Gm team is biased it damages the reputation of the game not of an entity.
So maybe just maybe the person who made this long bull**** post and lies to his alliance should consider what damage he does to the game and to the community at whole (no matter if ure bob, mc, ascn, imperium or celes) by balanty attempting to score brownie points on baseless accusations.
People have lost before and swallowed the sour medcine and it takes a real man to stand up and admit defeat with a "good fight they were better" instead of the counterstrike mentality which lately seems to get a foothold in the circle of allianceleaders. Where every hostile victor must be a cheater and every 3rd hand information which might get modified on the way to you is a clear proof for exploit, bias and favouritism (sp?).
Wake up Ascn, admit defeat in the tpar case and tidy up your closet before you damage the game. 1000 players spreading rumors to their friends can quickly make baseless accusations to a real bushfire.
